Warbirds Over Monroe Airshow

Veterans Bridge Home

A stronger Community. One Veteran at a time. Veterans Bridge Home is a Charlotte-based nonprofit organization that bridges the gap between Veterans and their community. Transition can be a tricky time, and we want to help you get through it with a strong support system.

  • Connecting with Veterans in your area
  • Identifying Veteran-friendly employers with openings
  • Helping you navigate the available resources in the community

We were very proud and excited to be the Official Automotive Sponsor at this years Warbirds Over Monroe Airshow Event. We had 6 vehicles and merchandise for sale onsite at the event. We love supporting our veterans and active military when given the opportunity. In 2005 Warriors & Warbirds started as a dream of several local pilots. With help from the City of Monroe, the Veterans Council of Union County, local businesses, and the hard work of volunteers, the Warbirds Over Monroe Air Show has grown into one of the area’s largest aviation events honoring those who have served.

Ian Kniestedt BBQ Fundraiser

Ian Kniestedt was a local 12 year old boy who found out he had inoperable anaplastic astrocytoma after enduring many months of test and hospital visits. Unfortunately, Ian lost his battle with cancer and passed away on November 1, 2019. This has been hard emotionally and financially to Ian and his parents. Ian’s parents have had to miss work to provide the needed support for their son and the medical bills piled up. Mt Harmony Baptist Church is holding a BBQ fundraiser to help with these unexpected bills. To help our dealership bought BBQ for all of the employees on this day. 100% of the proceeds were donated to the Kniestedt family.

Jeep Night 4Wheeler 4Help – Sidney Strawn

We were so happy to support this child and her family by donating some raffle items. On June 19th, 2019, 12 year old Sidney Strawn was taken to the doctor because the right side of her body appeared to have shut down. She was rushed immediately to the ER and then straight to Levine. The MRI showed a 3mmX9mm mass in her brain on her thalamus. On 6/24/19 doctors operated and were able to remove as much as possible. Final diagnosis will not be known until the end of September. In the meantime, Sidney will have tests every 3-4 months to check for any changes. Her mom, Faye, had to take 6 weeks off from work to care for Sidney. She has returned to work and is trying to catch up on bills. She also has 2 other children ages 10 and 14. All proceeds raised were donated to Sidney Strawn’s family. They also asked for donations of school supplies since there are so many other children in need of the basics this time of year. Sidney was in charge of what schools the supplies go to.

  • Fear of REPRISAL
  • An attitude of APATHY
  • Reluctance to get INVOLVED

Crime Stoppers resolves these problems by:

  • Offering ANONYMITY to people who provide information about crimes.
  • Paying REWARDS when the information supplied leads to arrest.
