The New 2021 Dodge Durango SRT® Hellcat & More | Dodge Muscle

The 3-row Durango SRT Hellcat from Dodge is set for release in the 2021 year model. This muscle car is an SUV running on standard 20-inch wheels. It is set to take over the number one spot as the most powerful SUV in the world.

The Durango SRT Hellcat engine is a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that can produce a mind-blowing output of 710 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque. This is paired with 8-speed automatic transmission, and the drivetrain is an all-wheel drive. This SUV can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and it has an impressive top speed of 180 miles per hour. Imagine cruising through Monroe, NC, that fast! The NHRA-certified elapsed time for its quarter-mile completion is 11.5 seconds.

The towing capacity of the Durango SRT Hellcat is 8700 pounds, way above that of mid-size crossover SUVs. The wheels come with Pirelli Scorpion Zero all-season tires (standard) or Pirelli P Zero three-season tires (optional). While the fender badges come with chrome finish, there is an option for a neutral grey metallic with a black package.

Eleven exterior color options are available on the 2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat. There are slimmer LED headlights as well, and a 2-piece chin splitter along with the new rear spoiler offers 140 pounds of downforce.

The Auto setting features a suspension for greater comfort, but the Track mode allows for better handling. There’s also a launch control and launch assist feature added to make the most of the engine while it launches from a standstill.

The power to stop this beast of an SUV comes from Brembo 6-piston, 2-piece front as well as 4-piston rear calipers that can clamp on 15.8” vented front and 13.8” rear rotors. The layout of the interiors is driver-centric, featuring red accents, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and paddle shifters with the SRT logo in red backlighting. Heated and ventilated seats are standard with Nappa leather upholstery that have microsuede inserts on front cushions.

There’s a big 10.1” touchscreen with the Uconnect 5 system that features wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa functionality. A rear entertainment system with two 9” screens behind the front seats can also be added. Some key safety features available are front & rear automated emergency braking and automatic high beam headlights.
